The main task here was to preserve natural skin texture and it’s original colour palette. To achieve the desired results I used classic dodge and burn technique. The beauty of dodge and burn lies in its ability to maintain the authenticity of the original image while subtly refining its nuances.

Rather than applying blanket adjustments that can wash away the natural textures and contours, dodge and burn allow for targeted enhancements that preserve the integrity of every pixel. Unlike relying solely on automated filters or presets, mastering this technique requires a keen understanding of light, form, and composition. It also demands patience and practice.
